Michelada Ingredients

A michelada is a beer-based drink, a tradition enjoyed at festivals and celebrations in Mexico. Recently, U.S. beer drinkers were introduced to this “beer cocktail” through pre-mixed beers (Bud Light® Clamato®), pre-mixed liquid (Dona Chela™), or dry mix (Twang®). However, when it comes to answering the question, “What is a michelada?” … the answer is different depending on who you ask.

We’re glad you found us! Traditional Mexican micheladas are made with key limes, salt, Worcestershire sauce, and a blend of spices. In the U.S., it is believed that a traditional michelada contains tomato, but this is not an authentic michelada.

Testing Authenticity

The original Don Robertos Michelada recipe has been developed and refined from years of product development and testing throughout Mexico and Texas. Yes, that means we had to drink a lot of beer, but we did it to achieve perfection and authenticity … plus we made lot of wonderful friends along the way!

The result of our “hard work” is Don Robertos Michelada Mix and those who grew up with the Mexican tradition of the michelada, swear by its authentic taste.

Don Robertos Michelada Mix is refreshing, bold, invigorating and a bit addicting! To make a Don Robertos Michelada: add 8 to 12 shakes of the mix (0.5 oz.) in a glass and pour in your favorite beer … simply enjoy!
